The Pillowcrest consists of an enlarged version of our standard bullion patch, usually about 4 to 5 inches. Your pattern is
embroidered directly onto a black velvet pillow measuring 14 inches square and stuffed with a goose down inner pillow (accessible by zipper). The Pillowcrest is perfect for a professional office, country club
or waiting room, and it also makes a beautiful throw pillow.
We embroider with Gold and Silver bullion, which is a thin wire filament coiled, re-coiled and then sewn down to the fabric to create a
metallic, shiny look. We complement the bullion with the finest silk and mylar threads, and we create a 3-dimensional look by raising up the thickness of the embroidery. We also use colored satins, wools,
and twills where appropriate to accurately render your pattern.
Please note, because we are using metal embroidery threads, the Pillowcrest should be used for decorative purposes only – the velvet is
soft, but sleeping with your cheek against the bullion embroidery will NOT be comfortable!
